Jeff Mackay first came to Linfield as a student in 1984. He majored and mathematics and was a two-time student body president. In 1988, Mackay joined the student affairs staff as the director of student activities where he continued to work with student leaders in student government and Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL). He lived on campus and also assisted Residence Life as an area director.
In 2000, Mackay became the associate dean of students and director of Residence Life, where he continued to work with student leaders. In 2019 he took on the role as dean of students and led the student engagement team to support student leaders across campus.
Mackay has enjoyed his 34 years at Linfield and values his work with students. Born and raised in Montana, he also has a master's degree from Portland State University in educational leadership. He and his partner, Kristi (also a Linfield alum), and their two children are engaged in the McMinnville community which they enjoy calling home.
