Testing Accommodations
LSS has a dedicated testing space to provide numerous testing accommodations in a welcoming environment within the LSS office. Some professors can proctor accommodated exams based on their department's available resources. Testing accommodations are only available to students who are registered with LSS and have been previously approved for accommodations.
Sample Testing Accommodations: There are many potential testing accommodations that LSS may outline on a student's notification letter. Reduced distraction locations, extended time, use of a scribe/reader, or use of technology are commonly implemented academic adjustments.
Testing Contracts: Professors will be asked to provide information about exam delivery and return methods, materials allowed, and other testing procedures. This information allows LSS to proctor exams with the same parameters that are implemented in the classroom. In most cases, students will be entering the contract information online in consultation with the professor. Once the testing contract information has been submitted online, professors will be able to confirm the contract to ensure all of the information is accurate.
Courtesy Testing: LSS can proctor exams for students not registered with LSS as space allows. Courtesy testing is typically reserved for students dealing with extenuating circumstances. Please contact LSS for more information about this resource and for information on how to schedule an exam.
