Program Description
The Linfield Summer Academy is designed to help students transition into Linfield. The academy is focused on academic preparation while simulating what a typical week at Linfield could look and feel like. Not only do participants engage with staff and faculty in academic classes, but they also build a strong network of peers. The academy schedule has been developed in a way that balances both learning academic expectations with fun social activities. Students who participate in the academy will have a chance to get to know many faculty and staff and will have a strong set of resources at their fingertips right from day one.
Location: McMinnville campus of Linfield University
Dates: Monday, Aug. 4 – Friday, Aug. 8, 2025
Students travel and arrive on Monday with a Welcome Session and Dinner that day. Academic programming over four days: Tuesday - Friday, with a closing event on Friday evening.
Cost: $100
Housing & Meals
Students coming for the Academy will move directly into their assigned fall semester Residence Hall room. All meals will be provided during the Academy. At the conclusion of the academy, students should plan on returning home. Students traveling from afar may remain on campus with appropriate approval. All students who are approved to remain on campus after the Academy will be required to participate in another Pre-Orientation program or with athletics if they are a fall student athlete. Students interested in staying on campus after the academy should indicate their request on the registration form for the Linfield Summer Academy. Meals between official programs are not covered by Linfield and the student will need to pay for them.
