  • When will I hear back about the status of my application?

    For fall semester, if you apply by April 15, you should hear back from us by May 15.

    For spring semester, if you apply by December 1, you should hear back from us by December 15.

  • Do I need to live on campus as a transfer student?

    Linfield University is a residential campus and requires all students to live in college housing for three years. You may be exempt from college housing if you meet at least one of the following criteria.

    • In your fourth year of college attendance (minimum)
    • You are 21 years of age before the start of the academic year (August 28, 2023)
    • You're living with parent(s) or guardian(s) in their primary home of residence within Yamhill County
    • You're married or in a registered domestic partnership
    • You have qualifying dependent(s) living with you in your primary home of residence
  • Is there a meal plan available for transfer students?

    All students in residence halls or fraternity housing (who are non-suburb eligible) are required to be on a meal plan. For the first semester that you attend Linfield (including transfer students) and living in a residence hall, you start with the unlimited meal plan. For the second semester and thereafter, a different option may be chosen. Meal plan changes may only be made during the first two weeks of fall and spring semesters and during the first two days of January Term.

  • Does Linfield look at the official SAT and ACT scores?

    Applicants for spring 2024 and fall 2024 start terms are not required to submit test scores to complete their application. Test scores will not be used in the admission, scholarship or financial aid process.

    You can apply to Linfield University by completing the Transfer Common Application.
