Password Requirements

• Minimum length: 14 characters
• Recommended to contain at least:
  • 1 upper case letter
  • 1 lower case letter
  • 1 number
• May contain special characters except the following:
  ; \ ? : @ & = < >
• Cannot be a password you have used previously, or one that contains easily guessable information (your name, Catnet ID, etc.).

Changing Your Password

• Open our identity portal (https://riportal.linfield.edu) in any browser.
• Login with your CatNet credentials.
• Click your name in the upper right and choose Change Password.
• You will now be prompted to enter a new password in the first box, and to verify it in the second box.
• Click Next.

Forgot Your Password?

• Open our identity portal (https://riportal.linfield.edu) in any browser.
• Click on “Need Help”?
• Click on Forgot My Password.
• Enter your username/CatNet and then click Next.
• Answer your Challenge Questions* and then click Next.  Your answers are not case sensitive.
• You will now be prompted to enter a new password in the first box, and to verify it in the second box.
• Click Next.
