General Information

In 2007, I graduated from Linfield College with degrees in mathematics and philosophy. Soon after, I found my calling in the wine industry. After working 15 harvests under many different winemakers - listening, watching, learning - I've embraced their passions, curations, and ideals to carve out my own unique style of wines. I've worked my way up from being a temp worker on bottling lines to managing a cellar with 650+ barrels as an associate winemaker/cellar master. Combining first-hand experience & academic research has enriched my understanding of how to make quality wine. Starting in 2018, JP Cellars wines are true to traditional winemaking methods, with minimal manipulations and low sulfur additions in the cellar. Balance and elegance are the guiding principles for the winemaking philosophy.

JP Cellars is making wine at a shared-space winery where ideas and methods are exchanged. It's nothing fancy, but it's a window into how a small scale, bootstrap winery is getting started. Come visit for a personalized tasting experience with the winemaker.
