Jonathan Williams '17Astoria, Oregon
At Linfield, Jonathan Williams learned to chase stories — and opportunities.
"Linfield allowed me to continue doing the things I loved while developing my journalism and critical thinking skills. I competed on the Linfield swim team, played viola in chamber ensembles and worked on ‘The Linfield Review’ all four years, including as editor my junior and senior years.
Completing a mass communication and English double major gave me a solid foundation and pushed me to focus on lifelong learning. Thanks to the wonderful professors, I grew as both a writer and editor. I was also able to complete two summer internships in Portland — at All Classical Radio and Oregon Public Broadcasting’s 'State of Wonder' program."
