Kristen is a Certified Nurse Midwife who has been working in women's health since 2003. Her clinical experiences extend across various practice settings (from home birth to regional medical centers), contrasting community settings (from Amish to Military) and diverse populations (including LGBTQIA and neurodiverse individuals). She is a United States Army veteran. She is always excited to learn new things, teach in different styles and bring awareness to complex issues.

Academic interests
The utilization of patient actors in simulation training experiences, the application of unique community issues to routine nursing practice and the exploration of alternative scenarios to deepen understanding of intricate health problems. Her research interests focus on female reproductive issues, LGBTQIA equality and neurodiverse equity.
