Elementary education degree with a special education endorsement
Linfield offers a flexible adult degree pathway to a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a K-12 special education endorsement in as little as two years! This dual-endorsement option is designed for working adults who want to teach elementary school or special education in K-12. Courses take place in the evenings on-campus or online, and you can begin during any term throughout the year.

This program is designed for:
- Those seeking an initial teaching license and/or a bachelor's degree in education
- K-12 staff, such as paraprofessionals or instructional assistants who are interested in a teaching license and a career in special education
- Those currently in an education program at an Oregon community college
If you currently hold a bachelor’s degree in a major outside of education or an AAOT degree with pre-education coursework at an Oregon community college, you can complete the program in two years.

After completing the general education and pre-education coursework at any Oregon community college, or through a previously earned bachelor’s degree, you can transfer your coursework to Linfield. You'll then complete 14 courses here plus two student-teaching positions in a classroom setting.
