General Information

Founded in 2003, Trisaetum is a family-owned and operated winery located in the heart of the Ribbon Ridge AVA, just outside of Newberg. An established producer of Pinot noir and Riesling, Trisaetum's dry-farmed fruit comes from three unique estate vineyards: a 23-acre vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, a 17-acre vineyard in the Ribbon Ridge AVA, and an 8-acre vineyard in the Dundee Hills AVA. The contemporary winery facility features a cold room to chill fruit before processing, a nine-stage sorting system, gravity flow design, and a subterranean barrel cave. Founder and winemaker James Frey incorporates Old World traditions with New World innovation in crafting Trisaetum's distinctive offerings of Pinot noir, Riesling, and since 2013, Chardonnay. In addition to his role as proprietor and winemaker, James is a nationally recognized artist with paintings and photographs sold throughout the United States and the world. The 1,500 square foot art gallery and tasting room house an assortment of pieces from his current collection.
