The Secondary Education major is a second major only. The Secondary Education major leads to teacher licensure in a content area endorsement area. Linfield’s Teacher Education Program is approved to recommend candidates for the following teachinglicense endorsements: Art, Biology, Chemistry, English Language Arts, French, Health Education, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, Physics, Social Studies, Spanish. A Secondary Education major without a content area major would not lead to state licensure. As a result, students may not graduate from Linfield with a Secondary Education major as their only major.
