Program Requirements for the MS in Business

M.S. degrees in the School of Business are full-time programs designed to be completed within twelve months. Programs are structured on a cohort model, whereby a group of students follow an integrated sequence of courses from beginning to end. Students are expected to maintain continuous enrollment in the M.S. programs, remaining in their cohort throughout, with personal and work commitments planned accordingly.

For an M.S. in design and innovation: a minimum of 40 credits distributed as follows:

  • Common Core: 16 credits including BNSS 500, 501, 502, 503 and 595
  • Design & Innovation Courses: 12 credits including BNDI 520, BNDI 521, BNDI 522 and BNDI 523
  • Workshop Courses: 12 credits (4 courses) of BNSS 598. Each BNSS 598 course is subject to the approval of the program coordinator and must address a different topic

For an M.S. in sport leadership: a minimum of 40 credits distributed as follows:

  • Common Core: 16 credits including BNSS 500, 501, 502, 503 and 595
  • Sport Leadership Courses: 12 credits including BNSL 530, BNSL 531, BNSL 532 and BNSL 533
  • Workshop Courses: 12 credits (4 courses) of BNSS 598. Each BNSS 598 course is subject to the approval of the program coordinator and must address a different topic

All courses taken for the M.S. in business must be completed with a grade of C or better.
