Dr. Kevin E. Curry is an assistant professor of Journalism and Media Studies at Linfield. He teaches courses on video and audio production, media law, social media, and media writing. Dr. Curry is interested in how the media intersects with areas like politics and government, how it influences our decision-making, and the history and development of the mass media in the United States. He has a PhD in public affairs and policy from The Hatfield School of Government at Portland State University, a Master of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Washington, Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mass Communication and Political Science from Linfield.

Prior to becoming a full-time faculty member, he was the director of video and digital media at Linfield where he produced multimedia content for the web, assisted the college's social media efforts and advised on marketing and advertising. He has worked since 1994 on communication and public relations for trade associations, small businesses, and in the political arena. He was a producer of the documentary film The Gentleman of the Senate: Oregon’s Mark Hatfield, which aired in 2015 on Oregon Public Broadcasting. He is also a founding partner in Relium Media, a transmedia production company, which is working on its first project - Angel Punk - which includes a comic series optioned by Dark Horse Comics, along with a novel and novella slated for publication in 2020, and a future tabletop game.
