Alumni award recipientsDo you know an alumnus/alumna or community member who has shown dedication, not only to Linfield, but also in a particular field of endeavor? Each year Linfield awards five such committed individuals for their hard work, innovation, and generosity of spirit. To nominate a candidate, please fill out the nomination form below as completely as possible so the Alumni Awards Committee may review for selection. Please review all eligibility requirements.

 

Linfield University Alumni Service Award

Purpose:

To recognize Linfield University alumni who have made significant volunteer contributions of time and energy to the Linfield University Alumni Association and thereby to Linfield University.

Eligibility:

A member of the Alumni Association as prescribed by the Association’s constitution. Performed extraordinary and meritorious volunteer service for Linfield University and the Alumni Association.

An Alumna/us who has demonstrated pride in her/his Alma Mater, and whose interest in and loyalty to Linfield University are evident.

Current members of the Alumni Leadership Council, current Linfield University employees and current members of the Linfield University Board of Trustees are not eligible to receive this award.

Exceptions to these eligibility guidelines may be made by a majority vote of the Alumni Leadership Council as deemed appropriate for individual nominee consideration.

Alumni Service Award Nomination Form

Linfield University Distinguished Alumna/Alumnus Award

Purpose:

This award recognizes and honors a Linfield University Alumna/us whose professional or civic achievements mark her/him as a top leader in her/his chosen field of endeavor.

Eligibility:

A B.A., B.S., B.S.N. or M.Ed. graduate of Linfield University who received their degree at least 15 years prior to nomination.

A Good Samaritan Hospital Diploma graduate who received their diploma at least 15 years prior to nomination.

Current members of the Alumni Leadership Council, current Linfield University employees and current members of the Linfield University Board of Trustees are not eligible to receive this award.

Exceptions to these eligibility guidelines may be made by a majority vote of the Alumni Leadership Council as deemed appropriate for individual nominee consideration.

Distinguished Service Award Nomination Form

Walker Service Award

Purpose:

The purpose of this award is to recognize and honor members of the greater Linfield University community who are not alumni, but who have contributed significant volunteer time and energy to the College.

Eligibility:

Because the intent of this award is to recognize those who are not alumni or former students, members of the Linfield University Alumni Association are ineligible for the award.

Current Linfield University employees and current members of the Linfield University Board of Trustees are not eligible to receive this award. This award is not necessarily awarded every year.

Exceptions to these eligibility guidelines may be made by a majority vote of the Alumni Leadership Council as deemed appropriate for individual nominee consideration.

Walker Service Award Nomination Form

Linfield University Young Alumna/Alumnus Award

Purpose:

This award recognizes and honors a more recent Linfield University Alumna/us who has distinguished her/himself by making outstanding contributions in her/his chosen field of endeavor. The award shall further serve to make alumni more aware of the achievements of young Linfield alumni, and thereby increase everyone’s pride in the college.

Eligibility:

A BA, BS, BSN or MEd graduate of Linfield University who received their degree at least five years but not more than 15 years prior to the date of the award.

Current members of the Alumni Leadership Council, current Linfield University employees and current members of the Linfield University Board of Trustees are not eligible to receive this award.

Exceptions to these eligibility guidelines may be made by a majority vote of the Alumni Leadership Council as deemed appropriate for individual nominee consideration.

Young Alumna Nomination Form

Distinguished Nursing Alumna/Alumnus Award

Purpose:

To recognize a professional nurse who exemplifies nursing excellence. Candidates for the award should demonstrate professionalism, innovation and dedication to the field, as well as excellent communication skills.

Eligibility:

The individual nominated must be a registered nurse and baccalaureate alumna/us of Linfield-Good Samaritan School of Nursing or associate alumna/us of Good Samaritan Hospital and Medical Center School of Nursing.
