Kelly Ouyang, a classical pianist and musicologist, specializes in Baroque, Classical, and Contemporary music, including the works of revered composers like Handel, Beethoven, Mozart, and Ligeti.
With her debut at Beijing's National Library Concert Hall at just 11 years old, Kelly’s exceptional talent has earned acclaim through prestigious competitions such as the Aria/Concerto Competition, Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition in Paris, The North International Music Competition in Sweden, and Yamaha National Keyboard Competition. Her live performances have captivated audiences across China and the United States, featuring in renowned music festivals like the John Perry Academy of Music, MasterWorks Festival, ClarinetFest 2011, and the Festival of the American Liszt Society. In 2021, Kelly released her debut world-distributed digital album, "Kelly Ouyang," in collaboration with Orpheus Classical.
Mentors like Charles Fugo, Marina Lomazov, Dmitry Rachmanov, and Joseph Rackers have enhanced her musical prowess. Her academic endeavors include a graduate dissertation analyzing Schumann's piano sonatas in the context of sonata form evolution and a published doctoral dissertation on Alexander Tcherepnin's Piano Concerto No.4 and Eurasian influences.
Kelly has lectured at California State University, Northridge, and teaches at GDTU. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Musicology from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Performance from the University of South Carolina.
As the founder of Pianoaccess established in 2020, Kelly's platform endorses excellence in piano performance and has gained national recognition and international art foundation support.
